There are those of us who have been believing God for a Child. We’ve tried just about everything known to mankind to get pregnant and still nothing happens. It seems as though everybody around is having a baby. We attend everybody’s baby shower but our own. Some of us even avoid certain social contact because we dread the invariable question of, “When are you going to have children?”
In believing God for a child, we must consider a few things. First, we walk by faith and not by sight (2 Cor 5:7). Next, is anything too hard for God (Jeremiah 32:27)? The bible tells us that Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing (Gen 18:11). But the Lord blessed them, and Sarah was ninety years old when she bore Isaac and Abraham was one hundred. NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR GOD. The final thing we must consider is that all things are possible to him who believes (Mark 9:23).
We must believe that God’s word is true and that it can not fail, and we must say back to God what God has said about us. We accomplish this by affirming, in prayer, those thing that the Lord has already blessed us with and by believing that we receive those blessings NOW.
Let us pray, (If you’re praying for someone else, insert their name where appropriate)
“The Lord looks upon me favorable and makes me fruitful, multiplies me and confirms His covenant with me.” (Leviticus 26:9)
“We are blessed above all peoples; there is not a male or female barren among us.” (Deuteronomy 7:14, Exodus 23:26)
“I walk in the ways of the Lord; therefore, I am happy and it is well with me. I fear the Lord and I am a fruitful vine in the heart of our house. Our children are like olive plants, all around our table. We are bless of the Lord.” (Psalm 128:1-3)
“Blessed am I among women, and blessed is the fruit of my womb.” (Luke 1:42)
“I am a child of the Lord and children are my heritage. The fruit of my womb is a reward.” (Psalm 127:3)
“The Lord loves me and blesses me and multiplies me. He blesses the fruit of my womb.” (Deuteronomy 7:13)
“The Lord multiplies me exceedingly. The Lord makes me exceedingly fruitful.” (Genesis 17:2,6)
Now believe that you receive what you have prayed and remember that nothing is too hard for God. You are believing God for a child.
