We all face challenges from time to time, finding ourselves in situations where we need a word of encouragement. We might share our dilemma with a friend or loved one and chances are that person may say something that comforts us for the time being. What if you have no one to turn to? Then what do you do? I’ve learned to encourage myself by speaking the word of God over my situation. You see, I believe God’s word is true and can not fail. Furthermore, I can always depend on God, because God said that He would never leave me or forsake me even until the end of the age. So when I need a boost in confidence or a little more boldness, I speak these words. They work for me and they can work for you:
“In the day when I cried out, You answered me and made me bold with strength in my soul.” (Psalm 138:3)
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
“I therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that I may obtain mercy and find grace in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)
“I say boldly, The Lord is my Helper; I do not fear. What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:6)
“Now this I have in You, that if I ask anything according to Your will, You hear me, and if I know that You hear me, whatever I ask, I know that I have the petitions I have asked for.” (1 John 5:14-15)
“I do nothing of myself; but as the Father teaches me, I speak those things. And He who sends me is with me. The Father has not left me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.” (John 8:38)
May you find righteousness, peace, and joy in these affirmations for confidence. God bless you.
