A Thank You Prayer

Father, in Jesus’ name, I thank You for the freedom and boldness to come before Your throne.  Today, I come not to ask for anything, but just to give thanks and praise for what You have already done for me.

You sent Your only Son to die and suffer the punishment for my sins so that I could be made alive through His shed blood at Calvary.  When I was dead in my trespasses and sins, You raised me to new life. You recreated my spirit and gave me Your Spirit as my comforter.

I thank You for the abundance of love and mercy You have shown on my behalf.  When I was without Christ, a stranger from Your covenants of promise, You brought me into fellowship with You through His blood.  Now I can gladly proclaim that I am no more a stranger or foreigner, but a fellow citizen with the saints and of the household of God.  Together, we form Your spiritual dwelling place on earth.  I receive Your Word in Ephesians that says I am Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus; that You have raised me up to sit in heavenly places in Him.

Being in Christ Jesus makes me a joint-heir with Him and to all His inheritance.  I confess Colossians 2:6-14 as a description of my new life in Christ. Walking in Him, I am rooted and built up in Him, established in His faith.  I thank God that I am complete in Him, having been circumcised in the spirit and delivered from the sins of the flesh.  Buried with Him in baptism, I am raised with Him to a new life as He was raised to new life by God.

As a new creature in Christ, I am strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit, rooted and grounded in the love of Christ and filled with the fullness of God.

Thank You Father, for all that is mine in Christ Jesus!

A Personal Commitment

On this day, I, _________________________ make a fresh and firm commitment to put the Word of God first place in my life.  By the power of the Holy Spirit, I resolve to put sloppy spiritual habits and casual attitudes behind me and to delve more deeply into the Word than I ever have before.  I will commit myself to become determined and totally committed where the Word of God is concerned, to be extremely attentive and extremely obedient to everything it says, and as a result, I expect to be extremely victorious and extremely blessed!

Praise God for His Word!!
